How to Use with Dogs

Setting up the machine thoughtfully can make a real difference to your dog's comfort, especially during crate time.

• Placement: Position the machine 1–2 metres away from the crate — close enough to be heard clearly, but not so close that the sound feels overwhelming. Never place it inside the crate.
• Starting volume: Begin at the lowest volume setting. A good rule of thumb is that you should barely hear it from across the room. You can gradually increase if needed, but louder is not better for sensitive dog ears.
• Sound selection: Start with continuous white noise or gentle rain — these steady, predictable sounds tend to be well-received. Avoid sounds with sudden peaks (like thunder effects) when first introducing the machine.
• Routine: Turn the machine on a few minutes before crate time so the sound becomes a familiar cue. Consistent use helps your dog associate the sound with rest.
• Observe your dog's response: Watch for signs of relaxed body language — settling down, yawning, or lying with a soft posture. If your dog seems unsettled by a particular sound, simply switch to another option.
• Care & safety: Keep the machine out of your dog's reach and away from water bowls. Wipe the exterior with a dry cloth — do not use wet wipes or cleaning sprays directly on the unit.
